Our history
1956
"Past her stage fright she was much admired in the Gala concert. Both her artistry and her light-hearted conversational tone were admirable." Elly Ameling won first prize cum laude at the IVC, launching a 40-year international career and over 50 LP recordings. She became one of the most prominent concert singers of her generation.

1979

1980

1994

2020
"Singers currently have a very difficult time. It is good to present them an alternative and show them that we are doing all we can to continue to support vocal culture." When COVID forced cancellation of the competition, the IVC adapted with a Mozart Masterclass and More with Vesselina Kasarova, Roberta Alexander, and Thomas Oliemans — broadcast as a livestream.

2022

Tax information & transparency
IVC operates in accordance with Dutch legislation and regulations for cultural institutions and fundraising.
ANBI Status
The IVC Foundation is recognised by the Netherlands Tax Administration as a cultural ANBI. Donations are tax-deductible. If you commit to a minimum of 5 years of donations, your gift can be deducted at 125% of its worth from your income tax.
Data Protection (GDPR)
Your personal data is processed solely for the purpose of handling your donation or sponsorship, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. You may access or request deletion of your data at any time.
Payment security
All payments are processed via Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 certified). IVC does not store any payment details. Subscriptions can be cancelled monthly at no charge and without conditions.
Financial transparency
IVC publishes an annual financial report in accordance with the requirements for ANBI institutions. The annual report is available on the IVC website and on request.
Donation policy
Donations are used exclusively to support the International Vocal Competition and its educational programmes. All expenditures are fully traceable. Gifts exceeding €500 per year are processed via an official donation agreement.
